Engineless car

The car was on a dirt road. Something yanked the engine out of the car and pushed it on to the highway. Now it's just a metal shell. It can only go so far as the push can take it.

This illustrates what happens to a person when he/she loses their drive - the soul.

  1. Are you just questioning in yourself and contemplating? Or are you penning down extracts from a book that you are reading?

Whatever the source be, your's is a valid point. That's what all Vedic knowledge stresses a lot. It says that the body may look attractive, the body may seek some pleasing inputs, but it is not the body which is really essential, it is the Divinity within which is manifesting itself through the medium called body.

  2. all the latest small-sized posts are my own, but i always remember to quote/cite if i pen down stuff from books

true, soul is the fuel and the body is the vehicle.

there is a movie where the protagonist says "home is defined by the dictionary as a starting place and a destination or a goal" i think that's what the soul is too..
